The Department of Pulmonary Medicine at Sanskaram University is dedicated to providing excellence in education, clinical care, and research in the field of respiratory and chest diseases. Pulmonary Medicine, also known as Respiratory Medicine, focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases affecting the lungs and respiratory system.
Our department is actively involved in training undergraduate and postgraduate students to understand and manage a wide spectrum of respiratory disorders, including tuberculosis, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, interstitial lung diseases, sleep disorders, and respiratory emergencies.

Tuberculosis and Mycobacterial Diseases, Asthma and Allergic Disorders, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Pneumonia and Lung Infections, Sleep-Related Breathing Disorders, Interstitial and Occupational Lung Diseases, Pleural Diseases and Chest Procedures, Pulmonary Rehabilitation and Preventive Care, Students participate in case discussions, clinical postings, seminars, and bedside teaching to integrate theory with practical skills.
