  • Academic Programmes
    Undergraduate (MBBS) The department imparts comprehensive knowledge of the musculoskeletal system to MBBS students, including:
    • Principles of fracture management
    • Common bone and joint disorders
    • Orthopaedic emergencies and trauma care
    • Hands-on training in plaster application and basic surgical skills
    • Students are encouraged to participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and operation theatre demonstrations for practical exposure.
  • Postgraduate (MS Orthopaedics) The postgraduate programme offers in-depth training in clinical orthopaedics, trauma management, and advanced surgical procedures. Key learning areas include:

    • Arthroscopy & Sports Injury Clinic: Minimally invasive treatment of ligament and cartilage injuries.
    • Joint Replacement Surgery: Advanced knee, hip, and shoulder replacement procedures.
    • Spine Surgery: Treatment for disc prolapse, deformities, and spinal injuries.
    • Paediatric Orthopaedics: Management of congenital and developmental bone disorders.
    • Rehabilitation Services: Post-surgical and trauma rehabilitation in coordination with physiotherapy units.
